Pet's Story or Bio

Adopted in 2016, Cooper is half pittie, half chihuahua, and all sweetheart.

We don’t know much about Cooper’s history before he arrived at HSSV, but we suspect that after a promising start in the Mariinsky Ballet in Leningrad, he defected to Canada for more opportunities in western dance. After freelancing with many companies, he joined the New York City Ballet as a principal dancer to learn George Balanchine's style of movement. He then danced with the American Ballet Theatre and spearheaded many of his own artistic projects before relocating to northern California.

In his retirement Cooper enjoys long walks on the beach, cozy snuggles under the covers, and Vienna sausages.

Cooper would like to thank everyone at Humane Society Silicon Valley (especially the amazing behavior team and his awesome foster parents) for helping him make a successful transition to his new life.
