Adopted as an 8-mos old from HSSV. Goal was to provide companionship to our 10-year old rescue - he's done that and more. Still learning "manners" and such, but has come out of his shell and loves life!!

His first 8 months were obviously less than ideal. When he came home, he wouldn't walk on a leash or come to you. In fact, he pulled away and hid. Axel's 5-mile walks today aren't nearly enough … more time in the yard chasing squirrels, frisbee's, leaves or shadows still help. Once he's hit the wall - sleeping near big brother Boo is all that is required for serious shuteye.

"Axel Rose" has truly blossomed and thinks every day/meal/treat/belly rub/walk is the greatest thing ever. He reminds us continually to jump with joy and appreciate life.
