Your Pet's Rescue Story
Logan had a very hard start to his life. Born in Tucson, Arizona, his family abandoned him as a kitten and he was forced to wander their old apartment building looking for food. No one was ever able to catch him because he was so scared of people, but when he came down with an upper respiratory infection and eye infection, he was too sick to run away and a family finally caught him. Unfortunately, they soon found out they could not care for Logan or pay the medical bills required for his health issues and they took him to a nearby shelter. Knowing that finding a home for a very sick animal was almost impossible, the shelter scheduled him to be put down a few days after his arrival. But, because he was such a sweet boy, several of the staff decided to ‘sneak’ Logan out the day before and take him to a PetSmart adoption event where my sister happened to be stopping to get cat food for her two cats. Seeing Logan all dirty, sneezing and with one eye shut completely from the infection, my sister asked the people working the event what his story was. Upon hearing that he was going to be euthanized, she quickly told them that she would take him and since she was a pharmacist and worked in a hospital, she knew she could nurse him back to health. When she got home, she immediately put Logan in the sink for a much needed bath and learned the brown, dingy boy was actually a stunning all-white beauty. He later came to live with me after we became inseparable friends when I was visiting her. He and I lived in Arizona, California and Wisconsin together. He was my best friend and helped me through it all. Unfortunately, Logan passed away in 2011 but he is always with me in spirit.
