Your Pet's Rescue Story
Emma was a puppy mill rescue that I found on petfinder.com 9 1/2 years ago. When the government shut down the puppy mills near Ohio, it was my great fortune to adopt Emma from the rescue group that saved her. (I still have that awful USDA metal auction tag.) Excitedly, I flew to Cleveland on Emma’s “Gotcha’ Day.” Her foster Mom, Lynne, met me at the airport. I loved Emma long before we met but holding her for the first time in that airport was an experience I’ll never forget. Unfortunately, the weather turned bad. Emma and I found ourselves stuck in a NorthEaster. It took us multiple flights, a few hours in a dog friendly hotel and 36 hours but together we made it home. We bonded then and have been inseparable since. Her love and spunky spirit make everything better. Thank you, Emma, for the joy you bring to our family. Life with you is beautiful. I am blessed beyond measure to be your Momma’!
