Your Pet's Rescue Story
We were looking to adopt a second cat, and we wanted one that would be very tolerant with a small child so that our kiddo could learn to care for and appreciate the companionship of an animal. When we saw a video from the rescue agency of Spirit, he was just ambling around the floor at Petsmart, and we knew he was the one. Spirit has cerebellar hypoplasia, which sometimes people call "wobbly cat". So he takes his time with his steps, and sometimes he has to stop and get his balance to lay his big eyes on you. What we realized though, is if we take him outside in the backyard, he runs gleefully and like the wind getting all kinds of traction from the earth under his feet. The sweetest boy, rescued from what we understand was an abusive situation, is a loving a trusting cat who will jump up on your lap and fall asleep right in the crook of your arm as you work on your laptop.
