Your Pet's Rescue Story
Elliott is a Hurricane Katrina survivor, found abandoned in a home in Mississippi several weeks after the hurricane hit. In the fall of 2005, lots of dogs, cats, kittens, and puppies were driven down to Orlando rescue shelters because Gulf Coast shelters were overwhelmed and dealing with the aftermath of the hurricane. I fell in love with Elliott immediately and took him home. He was about 6 months old at the time. Elliott remains skittish to this day around loud noises and strangers, most likely due to his traumatic start in life, but to me he is the perfect cat and has brought so much joy to my life.
