A little about my photo...
I painted this from a taxidermy mount used in scientific illustration classes at the Field Museum in Chicago. I spent a lot of time volunteering there, especially in the bird lab, in order to better understand the human impact on our natural world. Most of my art has a strong focus on conservation and awareness - my hope is to share this awareness with others in order to make the changes necessary to preserve and protect these species moving forward.
