Pet's Story/Bio
Silas is the poster puppy of perseverance. As an old boy, he was abandoned by his owners on the streets where animal control took him to the shelter. Since he was so matted, the shelter staff thought he was a girl! Eventually, Muttville Senior Dog Rescue was contacted and they were able to clean him up. Most of his rotten teeth were removed, he was given a handsome new haircut, and his eyes treated. He is completely blind, but he doesn't let that get him down.
I adopted this old man when I saw him surrounded by many children, all with their hands on him and smiling at the camera. Silas had such a happy grin as he felt the love around him. Now, he enjoys the quiet life with a soft bed, two cat friends, easy walks, and lots and lots of love.
