San DiegoPet's Story
I thought I knew the dog I wanted, but my phenomenal adoption counselor from the San Diego Humane Society connected me with the dog I needed! Pliny was initially rescued by SDPD as a stray puppy, brought to the Humane Society where he was treated for fleas, ticks, a herniated umbilical cord, and required teeth to be removed due to a jaw deformity.
Pliny had a DNA test done, which resulted in us locating full siblings from another litter, whom had also been abandoned and subsequently rescued, and thankfully adopted into loving homes.
I’ve seen, and It was unfortunately reiterated by the story of Pliny’s sisters, that too many animals are abused, abandoned and neglected, and without organizations like the humane society they would never be offered the opportunity to learn and grow into their best selves.
Please donate if you can, as it enables the humane society to keep connecting us humans with the new furry members of our family we didn’t know we needed, until we were introduced to them, and then realized we couldn’t live without!
