About Your Pet
A one year old Jackhuaua (Jack Russell & Chihuahua), Pike came to us from the Tallahassee Animal Shelter. Relinquished by his former owner due to a housing situation, he was the perfect dog to fill the void in our hearts when our German Shepard, Lucy, passed away. And by “our” I mean me and my lab, Lia. She was depressed after Lucy’s death. Pike has brought her out of her funk and added much needed play to her life.

Pike loves all people and other dogs. He brings a smile to everyone’s face as he is a true comedian AND a snuggle bunny. Everyone who meets him wants to take him home. He reflects what is best of Tallahassee- caring, love, community, and fun.

Pike also highlights the excellence of the Tallahassee Animal Shelter. Our experience adopting him at the shelter was simply top notch. From the volunteers to the staff, we came home with the perfect pet for our family.

Pike loves Tallahassee- especially walking in our social areas (like Cascades Park), the greenways (Miccosukee is his favorite because of the great smells), or the nature trails near our home in Southwood. We all need a little “Pike” in our lives during these challenging times and I hope he can bring a smile to all of Tallahassee!
