Corridor Rescue reserves the right to clarify or modify any of the contest rules during the term of the contest without advance notice.
ENTERING
- Please visit the page between July 29, 2021 and September 2, 2021 to enter your favorite dog or cat photos and then start campaigning for votes.
- You may enter as many photos as you like.
- All photos must contain a picture of only one animal.
- All photos must be digital and at least 1200 x 1200 pixels and uploaded to the website.
- Photos must be high-resolution (300 dpi or greater) and in landscape (horizontal) format.
- Photos with professional photographer watermarks will not be accepted.
- Photos deemed offensive will be removed. Please do not include political or racially themed statements or symbols.
- Corridor Rescue reserves the right to decline publication of any photograph for any reason. Should this happen, Corridor Rescue will notify the contestant and, if an appropriate replacement cannot be obtained, will refund the entry fee if desired.
- All photos become the property of Corridor Rescue, which reserves the right to edit, resize or crop and use in at its sole discretion.
- The registration fee for each animal is $10.00.
VOTING
- Voting will begin on July 29, 2021 at 8:00 AM Central Daylight Time and will end on September 2, 2021 at 8:00 PM Central Daylight Time.
- Voting is open to everyone and there is no limit to the number of votes that can be purchased.
- Votes are $1.00 each.
- Contestants may vote for the photos that they submit.
- All proceeds from the Cute Critters Contest will support the important work that Corridor Rescue does to end the suffering of street dogs in Houston.
PRIZES
- First Place. Awarded to the contestant with the most votes
- Second Place. Awarded to the contestant with the most votes after the first place winner.
- Third Place. There will be 10 third-place winners, awarded to the 10 contestants with the most votes after the second place winner.
- Judge's Choice. There will be one prize awarded to the cutest photo submitted from among those that did not win one of the top 12 prizes. That photo will be selected by a panel of Corridor Rescue's board of directors and officers.
- Reserve a day. Want a guaranteed spot in the calendar? Reserve a day to honor your pet. Your pet's photo will appear on the day of your choice. Just choose your favorite photo and then choose the day and pay! First come first served! Once a date has been reserved, it will no longer be available. Each day is $50 and includes 1 copy of the calendar. Reserving a day does not enter that photo in the contest. However, you may use the same photo in both the contest and to reserve a day.
- Prize winners will be notified by email on or about September 3, 2021 and will be posted on Corridor Rescue's Facebook page on or about September 3, 2021.
