About Me
Grandpa Joe came to us at the age of 12 and, oh my heart, he was supposed to be ours. This man was hilariously funny and gentle and affectionate. We only had him a season, but he captured our whole hearts every single day and we loved him to the moon and back. He had this amazing head tilt, sweet potbelly, and thick black eyeliner framing in the most soulful amber eyes. He lifted his head up with that permanent tilt just to say “heeeeey!” and was a confident man who knew exactly what he wanted and wasn’t afraid to show it. Joe loved the snow and eating snow cones outside, and his head would endearingly quiver when he took treats with the softest lips. It was an honor to care for him, and he will be forever loved and remembered.
