A little about me...
Five year old Aspen was rescued in late November of 2024 weighing only 12 lbs. After being treated for a bad cough, an ultrasound revealed advanced heartworm disease. A few days before Christmas, his foster mom rushed him to an emergency vet clinic after noticing he was in distress with pale gums, likely from a blood clot. He fought to survive and was released 48 hours later. Aspen was adopted in April of 2025 despite a diagnosis of permanent heart damage and a shortened life span, and is thriving in his furever home.
