Estrella was found wandering the streets looking for help. She was chipped, but her original family declined to come get her. It appears her original owners were elderly, and either passed away or were otherwise unable to care for her any longer. Their family then rehomed Estrella, but the new owners sadly did not care for Estrella the way she deserved. Estrella was officially adopted from the Lawrence Humane Society by her forever family in April of 2025. She is around 16 years old, based on microchip data. After some much needed TLC, this gorgeous girl is thriving and enjoying life. She loves food, cuddling, playing with her toys (like Sir Oscar the Octopus) and playing chase/tag with her people! She was named Estrella, because her face looks like it was kissed with star dust when she was sent to Earth by her sister in Heaven.
