Hi there, my name is Jody and I am searching for a home where I am your one and only canine and my family has experience with my breed. For most of my life I lived with a wonderful couple and things were great. When both my people passed away, I went to live with one of their children for a short time but I wasn't getting along with the other dogs that lived there. Since I was the newbie, it made sense that I should be the one to come to WCHS and find a new home. I took a cat-test at the shelter and apparently, I show something called ‘potential'. If my new family has a kitty, I will need to take another test to determine if I could live with felines in harmony. My family could include gentle and respectful children of all ages; I am an affectionate gal who would enjoy tender cuddles from all my peeps. I am smart, confident and courageous; a high energy girl who is adaptable and trainable. I am hoping for a family who will provide training, exercise and structure; I would love to have a job. Perhaps we can get involved in obedience classes or canine sports, take long hikes or play mentally stimulating games. I do well with all sorts of handling and love being groomed; I take great pride in my beautiful and exquisite coat. Since I weigh about 63 pounds, I may be a tad large for your lap but would love snuggles as I lay by your side. I enjoy long walks where we can explore all the wonders of Mother Nature together; I hope we can go on many adventures together. I am intelligent and I appreciate keeping mentally active so I do not get bored. I know the cues for ‘sit', ‘down' and ‘come' and am hoping to learn so much more from you; I am a wonderful student with a passion for learning and a desire to please you.
