Provide a few short sentences explaining what makes your pet the “Cutest pet in Washington, Ozaukee and Waukesha and surrounding Counties” — or maybe all of Wisconsin!
Hello, my name is Ursula; that means ‘little bear' and I am an adorable little puppy dog with a heart as big as the sky. I was in an over-crowded shelter in Oklahoma and had the opportunity to head north with my siblings to look for my new forever family. I can initially be a little nervous in new environments and situations so I am hoping for a family that will help build my confidence through training and learning new skills. I do enjoy playing with other dogs but I need you to ensure a slow and proper introduction. That means I could share my home with a dog friend but I will need to meet them first in a calm and controlled manner so I have a tranquil and positive experience with them. It has been such a whirlwind for me since coming to WCHS that I have not had a moment to take a cat-test to see how compatible I am with the feline type. If you are interested in adding me to your family and have a kitty, I suggest you speak with a staff person to find out when that will happen and what the results are. My family could include gentle and respectful children of any age. I adore cuddles and scratches and think that more people in my pack would be awesome. I always need to wear a Martingale collar and should be kept on a leash or in a secure area because I could be a flight risk at a moment's notice. If I am out and about and hear a loud noise like a garbage truck, I might get scared and have a tendency to run. All my family members need to understand that I am counting on them to keep me safe and out of trouble. I am a young gal so I know I have a ton to learn. I am counting on you to help me safely navigate the world and experience new things each day to allow me to grow into a confident young dog. That isn't as exotic and daunting task as it might sound. Each day I just need to be introduced to one new thing like the sound of a vacuum, a blender or a door bell, walking up and down a step, a ride in a car, hearing a motorcycle or a truck, going somewhere to see new people, even maneuvering a fallen log on a walk. You get the idea, so many things that seem common to you are completely new to me. Speaking of growing, I may be small now (about 27 pounds) but I do plan on getting a little bigger so I would love to take obedience classes to learn proper manners and social skills. I also know I have to practice something called house-training so I know proper potty behavior. A routine, lots of yummy treats and praise will go a long way to helping me master house-training when I potty outside. Raising a puppy is a big responsibility, a lot of work, and it may interrupt your sleep cycle for a bit, but a courteous and well-behaved dog is certainly worth the investment and I promise to be loyal, love you unconditionally and be a companion forever. Stop by to meet me in person, I think you will find me brilliant and captivating and want to take me
