Provide a few short sentences explaining what makes your pet the “Cutest pet in Washington, Ozaukee and Waukesha and surrounding Counties” — or maybe all of Wisconsin!Greetings, my name is Willow and I am graceful and elegant. I had a wonderful owner for most of my life and we were very happy. Unfortunately, my person passed away so I came to WCHS to find a new home. Although I was sad for my person to go away, I try and maintain an optimistic attitude and truly believe bright days are in my future. I could share my home with a dog buddy but I definitely will need to meet any housemate first to ensure we are compatible and can live in harmony. I am a proper lady and need my canine pals to treat me politely. I do not have any experience with cats and have not had a chance to hook up with one at WCHS so I really do not know how I would interact with a kitty. I believe a cat-test is on my calendar so if you have a feline and are interested in adding me to your family you should talk with a staff person. My family could include gentle and respectful children of all ages; I have lots of energy so I think running around with kids might be a ton of fun. You should be aware that I have an amazing athletic build and weigh about 82 pounds so I might be a tad large for a little tyke to handle. I have been told that I do not do well off leash so to keep me safe when we are out and about it would be wise for you to always be tethered to me. I am guessing I get sidetracked and have a tendency to run off after something exciting; perhaps I need a little more work on recalls. My perfect day would be to spend time with you getting exercise in the great outdoors followed by quiet cuddles in the evening as we relive the memories of the adventures we have had. I am a friendly, playful and affectionate gal who is sure to add joviality to your home and family. In my previous home I had a fenced yard and a doggy-door so I could come in and out as I pleased. I am not suggesting that is the setup I need (although it was fabulous for me) but that means that I may not have developed a solid tell to signal my person I need to go outside. It would be wise initially to give me lots of opportunities to go outside to go potty and keep me on a routine until I get the lay of the land in my new home. I am very smart and already know the cues for ‘sit' and ‘paw' but am certain I can learn so much more from you with patient and positive training techniques. I think I might like to try obedience classes or perhaps canine sports, focus, nose-work, touch or dog parkour; I am happiest when I have plenty of exercise. I will also thrive if I have something to occupy my mind so I would love to play mentally challenging games and have brain teaser toys. Stop by to meet me in person, I think you will agree that I am an outstanding girl and would be simply perfect for
