Julie was a gift as a puppy, and Molly was adopted through a Mississippi Rescue at age 2 (her home was destroyed in the flooding south of New Orleans after Katrina). Julie and Molly (my sister's only child) have given our entire family so much joy, and added years to the lives of elderly parents, we needed to adopt another. Over six and a half years ago we adopted Dacha, a 12-year-old red short hair, and she had a wonderful life with us. She died in my arms one morning a few months ago. We wanted to adopt another senior, and found Myrtle about a month ago. She loves our yard so much - racing back and forth the 120 foot length - that we now call her Free Range! We dress them in purple, green, and gold for Mardi Gras - and to tell them apart quickly!
