Josephine was sent to us by an angel. It was September of 2017 and our house received a direct hit from Hurricane Irma. We evacuated with our long haired Doxie Chevy & our 2 cats. When we returned a few weeks later, we found we had horrible damage. Our 14-1/2 doxie had dementia afterwards. In January 2018, he passed away in the yard. We were devastated enough after losing our belongings, now we lost our beloved pet. He meant the world to us. A month later, our cat died. They were the best of friends. Again we were devastated. How much can a person handle? A month later we couldn't be without a Doxie any more. We decided that we wanted a senior dodie. We called the FKSPCA and they just received Josephine. She was an abused dog, wounded by another dog. We adopted her & the rest is history.
