Your Dog's Story or Bio
Scout is the one who does the rescuing, all 9 pounds of her save me everyday. Born in Prague, Czech Republic, and named for the strong, smart, independent female protagonist in "To Kill a Mockingbird," she jumped across the pond with us when we relocated to Florida in 2017. She is a big dog in a small dog body and never shy to let you know it. Spending most of her time keeping my lap warm, the lizard population at bay and enjoying the Florida sun.
I've always been a lover all creatures great and small, but Scout converted me to a dachshund lover for life and I have been blessed to help with transport for DRSF and share some of my love with other dogs in need. She led me to DRSF.
Also, we need some wirehaired representation :) 💜
