We have always owned dachshunds. Our older dachshund, Sammy, passed away at 16 and we were deeply grieved, especially my husband. We also had an older Shetland Sheepdog. After a year, we decided to surprise my husband on Father's Day with another dachshund. He is a huge a Braves baseball fan so he named him "Chipper Jones". He is a beautiful long hair blond mini dachshund with the sweetest personality. He loves to sit next to you and nap and won't even go around the whole neighborhood on a walk unless my husband is with him. He will only go down the street and back. Chipper is a true loving, loyal and protective companion.
