Rescued by DRSF, Ruby came to live with me mid-April 2021. After a week of being with me, Ruby slipped out the door as I was coming home from work. I dropped everything, calling her name and running after her in my flip flops. She was running like the wind! A kind woman stopped her car, picked me up, and we followed her, but she went out of site, and I started running again. The kind person followed her route in the car as Ruby circled back towards home after 1.5 miles where she lost her among the homes. I thought maybe Ruby went home, so I took a shortcut and there was Ruby, standing in the living room, HOME. This street smart, gentle soul is a gem and although she cannot tell me about her past, she certainly can show me that she is wise, brave, and home.
