London came to us as a rescue from the China meat markets through DSFR four years ago. She came to us with lingering sores and very minimal social skills as she had been caged her whole five years in China. Not only has she adapted to the US, she is living her best life with us now. Her ears that once were droopy not stand tall as she eats her way through everything. She must be cuddled beside mom or dad and as a typical dachshund she takes three quarters of the bed at night. We like to say, we did not rescue her, she rescued us thanks to Dachshund South Florida Rescue
