Your Dog's Story or Bio
Blitzen was brought into Miami Dade Animal Services on December 15, 2013. Rescuers taught he had been hit by a car. It was discovered later that Blitzen was mauled by a bigger dog. The DRSF team stepped in to save this sweetheart; he went under 2 surgeries within 4 weeks. Unfortunately, his little bladder has been so damaged that it was impossible to save his precious life. He was helped cross the Rainbow Bridge on January 15, 2014. During his brief stay among DRSF and his foster family, Blitzen stole the hearts of thousands. I decided to put him into the contest as a tribute for this little fighter, to acknowledge the generosity of all those who tried to help him in any way, and as way to acknowledge the many animal lovers who open their hearts and pocketbooks to help unknown animals when needed ! May you rest in peace, Blitzen !
