Your Dog's Story or Bio
I adopted Betsy in Oct 2014. My brother had been fostering Betsy and I fell in love with her sweet personality and her tattered ears (from previous abuse) pulled on my heartstrings. Betsy had been used to breed and left to be a stray. When the shelter took her in she needed surgery to remove a baseball size mass on her ovary. Once she recovered we thought she was in the clear and I was able to officially make her mine. Sadly, we were wrong. $8k in more surgery and several rounds of chemo later our hope was back! We were doing it! We were giving her the life and loving home she really deserved! On Feb 26th while at the vet for another round of chemo Betsy had a sudden brain aneurysm and passed away. We're so heartbroken and still think of Betsy everyday.
