Your Dog's Story or Bio
She had been surrendered, along with her sister who was epileptic, to Miami-Dade Animal Services. Although visibly neglected, she was healthy and playful, running around in a yellow polkadot bikini top (no bottom). I sat in the grass under the MDAS tent and she crawled into my lap, up my chest, and rested on my shoulder like a baby. I fell in love. She was too beautiful and too sweet to leave behind after we had this instant bond. We named her Minnie and took her home where she'd have 2 new doxie sisters and a German Shepherd brother. The vet estimated her age to be 7-8, but couldn't be sure because her teeth were in such bad shape. They removed 9 teeth and she hasn't stopped giving us kisses since. She shows appreciation for her rescue every day and has been one of the greatest joys of my life. #rescueseniordogs
