Lucy was rescued by the Humane Society from a hoarding situation. She was found in a cramped trailer house with 40 other Dachshunds of various ages.

This is the pic I saw on the local rescue group and it was LOVE at first sight! I believe she was meant for me! All the pieces just fell into place! I was the 1st person to 'apply' for her, her foster Mom was bringing her the following day to the town I live in to be spayed,she did a home visit, and Lucy was mine 3 days after I saw her picture!

We had hurdles to overcome! She was malnourished, had worms and a stubborn case of demodex mange. We got those obstacles out of the way and she developed a limp that required surgery to lengthen her ulna.But we made it thru everything thrown in our path!

No worries for her now! She will be forever LOVED,CHERISHED and SPOILED!!!
