Pennie came to us as a puppy after we lost our beloved Soffie. We refer to Pennie as our therapy dog. I was so distraught after my Soffie died my husband felt she would be a help in getting me through the grief. So true! She has been a delight but moreover, soon after she came to us my husband had a critical incident in his life that was devastating. Pennie was a saving grace. He was home with her everyday. She was just a few months old but he spent his days watching and adoring her sending me photos throughout the day. She helped get him past his grief. Pennie is an angel. Sweet and loving and as good at giving love as she is taking it. Nothing sweeter than a chocolate--dachshund that is.
