Your Dog's Story or Bio
This is our adorable little double dapple, Amy. When we moved to Marco Island from Long Island in October, 2013, we knew we wanted to adopt a "hard to place" dachshund from DRSF. When asked if we were interested in adding a blind dog to our family, we said yes right away. On 11/11/13, we travelled straight across the state to pick up the newest member of our family. Abby and Andy (our other two dachshunds) didn't know what to make of our new littlest one at first, but they get along just fine. Everyone who meets Amy just loves her. She is extremely smart and gets around as if she has eyes - it's amazing really. We couldn't imagine life without her. She is loved very much and she knows it!!
