Maizie was rescued from a Craigslist adoption gone bad in Alabama. She was taken from her Mom and litter mates too early and given as a Christmas gift to a little girl. The family kept her for a whopping 2 weeks and dumped her at their local pound. She ended up with parasites, worms and all kinds of yucky stuff. Luckily a worker there knew someone here at a local Tampa rescue that might have some luck re-homing her. A mutual friend at the rescue connected us. Needless to say I picked her up as soon as she was ready and we have been inseparable since. She is all Dachshund attitude and sass. She loves to play outside, chase her ball and run top speed around the yard. Snuggling under the covers is also at the top of her list along with belly rubs and barking at the neighbors.
