Pet's Story
Thumper was rescued by Rotarian Dan Bowers after learning that he could not be adopted because of his bent ear--no one wanted him. Dan gave him to Kathy and me. He is getting old now, limps a little, and still has that bent ear and his Maine Coon extra front toes.

Why my pet should win
Old guys can be cute, too. Thumper is incredibly loyal, enjoying walks in the woods with us and an occasional canoe ride. He gets worn out on longer walks and has to be carried part way home. Either that, or he's a great con artist.
