Pet's StoryWe found biscuit on a stormy Wednesday night on my way back from teaching. He was drowning in a nearby river. We called around looking for his owners but everyone around the river just knew him to be a stray. We thought we saved his life, but in little did we know he saved ours! We rescued him a few weeks before the pandemic hit. He was a constant source of comfort and love in our lives during that time. He was a source of companionship on the lony days at home and the days of uncertainty. My husband and I had only been married a couple of months at the time and Biscuit really brought a sense of unity and responsibility to our relationship. Biscuit now enjoys long walks, camping, sitting at the window looking at people from the outside, and loving everyone. It always brings my heart joy when people tell me they ride by my house just so they can see the “doggy in the window.” He comes and sees my 1st grade boys and girls when they have done a good job in my classroom and is a light anywhere he goes. My husband and I could not imagine our lives without Biscuit in it. He is a symbol of strength, comfort, and love for us and something we cherish every day.
Why my pet should winMy pet should win because he is a symbol
Of what we should all be. He loves when love is needed most. He supports others during their highs and lows and no matter the age. He is not aggresive and loves everyone he meets. He loves some good food, especially french fries! Who doesnt? He is loyal and always seeks oppertunity to be there for others. But most if all he loves when love is needed the most. He has done so much for me and everyone he meets, he deserves to be rewarded for the acts of service and love he conducts each and every day!
