A little about me...
In the picture submitted, Benny (on right) is with his best buddy Teddi, our female cat, whom he joined in our household when we adopted him. We adopted Benny after he was “returned” to Dakin because of exhibiting play bites. He was being raised with a dog and upon interacting with him, it was evident that he was allowed to bite, either defensively or while playing. We worked with Benny to stop the aggressive biting he exhibited, but to this day, he is a “mouth-first” cat, i.e. he bites before clawing. Benny also had some health problems that he has overcome. About six months after we adopted him, he was diagnosed with asthma and we had to administer an inhaler, along with other meds. Benny is now off all asthma treatments and is a wonderful companion cat—at 21 lbs—a real big lug, who cuddles with me in bed at night and beside me on the couch during the day. Benny loves company and greets all of our friends when they visit. He gets scrubs and rubs from everyone!
