Pet's Story or Bio
Mickie was found abandoned in the attic of a deserted home. She was about 9-12 months old when she was rescued. The crew named her Attica (which I thought was adorable) but hubby thought it a little silly. I love her ocelot eyes and wanted something more exotic. Queen Kianga? Nefertiti of the Nile? But we usually reject names by how silly you sound calling out the back door at the top of your lungs at midnight. So we settled on Mickie.
She lived to be 18 years old. As you can see, she was an outdoor kitty. One day I called her home and she came sauntering across the lawn, taking her sweet time, as cats will do. As she approached, I decided to snap some picks. Most were odd angles and clearly not posed. Then, rather than ignore me and walk right by, when she got to my feet she stopped and looked straight up at me! This pic was so perfect, it became my screen-saver!
