Meet Lucas, a Border Terrier mix with a heart of gold! Lucas had a “ruff” start in life where he had been abused, neglected, and found living on the streets. I met him as a volunteer at Peggy Adams and his medical records show he was adopted twice and returned to a shelter, had heart worms, and an infection. Right from the start, he acted like he was mine and I knew he was destined to become a part of my family. I adopted him on September 1, 2012, and we have been inseparable ever since. He brings joy, comfort, and companionship to all the people he meets and I can’t imagine life without my fur baby. He is loving, patient, playful, protective, calm, curious, and well behaved and you can’t ask for a better dog!
