Dachshund Adoption Rescue and Education, Inc. (DARE) views its mission as increasing public awareness against animal cruelty and overpopulation while rescuing and re-homing displaced and unwanted dachshunds and dachshund mix dogs primarily throughout the North Central region of the state of Florida, in the Continental Unites States.
We do this by:- Rescuing and socializing abandoned, neglected, abused, orphaned and/or surrendered dachshunds and dachshund mixes by providing temporary safe shelter and medical/dental treatments as needed.
- Procuring temporary foster homes and permanent new homes for rescued dachshunds that will provide a safe and nurturing home environment.
- Ensuring no dachshund shall be adopted for the purposes of breeding or scientific/medical experimentation.
- Providing education to the public on the dachshund breed, puppy mills, and responsible pet guardianship including, but not limited to, humane animal care and spay/neuter practices.
- Displaying courtesy, respect and fellowship toward all volunteers in appreciation of services and support rendered to dachshund rescue and to promoting enhanced teamwork among all rescuers.

A little about me...
Little Girl was sent to us for a reason we notice how smart she was from day 1 we immediately started her campanion training classes and she loved to go to school and learn after about 12 weeks she become my certified service dog she worked very hard at Alabama Canine to get her certification. She is my shadow Little Girl never leaves my side she is my little helper. Her favorite things to do is bring mama and daddy frogs and crickets chase birds, butterflies. She also loves when daddy cuts the grass so she can bring it inside with her sticks and paper that she brings in and chews up on her bed . Little girl keeps us running and keeps us on our toes. Little Girl is also sweet, smart, kind, beautiful and cuddly but most of all important. She is our little one that gives us reason to get up every morning. She also loves the mailman to see what he might be bringing her each day. Yes our helper but most of all our family member. Little girl you rock and we love you to the moon and back 100 times. You have changed my life now I have A great companion that can go anywhere with me. You will always have a stamp of friendship inside my heart forever.
