Pet's Story
Molly was a rescue from Buddy Rescue in Cocoa, FL. We saw her on the adoption site rescueme.org last Sept. She was one of four doxies and the owners were an elderly couple. One of them passed, and the other was going into a nursing home and the caregiver was about to take all the dogs to the shelter. Buddy Rescue contacted her about surrendering the dogs to them instead. However, they only had room for two surrenders at that time. Monique with Buddy convinced the owner to give her just a few days and she would take two dogs now and get them adopted asap - and then come back for the other two; just to keep the other dogs until she could come back for them. Her plan worked! The first two doxies - Molly and the other doxie were adopted right away! We met Monique with Buddy Rescue in Palm Coast and picked up our sweet Molly Girl! 11lbs. of sweetness - and the perfect addition to our 9 year old Frodo and 7 year old Link-n doxie rescues. Monique called me that evening to check on Molly - as she said when she was fostering her for a week - all she did was cry - and wanted to be held. I was happy to say - Molly never cried - just loved being held and snuggling with us and curling up with her two big foster bros for nap times! She knew she was "home"!
