Cletus is living proof that the best things in life are worth the wait.

As a black, bully-breed boy, Cletus spent nearly 6 months at Darlington County Humane Society, overlooked time and again until the loneliness began to wear him down. Thankfully, he found a soft place to land in foster care. After countless adoption events and over a year hoping for a forever family, his foster parents realized his forever home was right where he already was.

Now about 6 years old, Cletus has blossomed into the ultimate co-pilot and the world’s best foster brother. He proudly shows new foster dogs how to be polite houseguests, how to zoom and play in the yard, and most importantly, how to feel safe and loved. Because Cletus never wants a friend in need to feel sad or alone.
