Bambi is a rescue from DCHS. We adopted her 8 yrs ago (fka Susan), she had been found wandering on 151. During COVID, she was diagnosed with low platelet disorder and part of treatment was steroids and due to steroids, she got very sick and was admitted to ICU at CVETS in ketoacidosis, she was diagnosed with diabetes. She later developed cataracts from her diabetes. We had cataract removal and lens replacement done on both eyes. One of her eyes was removed due to complications from the surgery. Nothing brings our Bambi down, her platelet disorder is in remission, she has Type I diabetes and gets insulin twice a day. As you can see she is still happy and thriving with us! She sleeps every night in our bed in between my husband and I. She is loved so much ❤️
