Pet’s Story or Bio
I am fortunate that I have been able to travel to Puerto Rico annually over the last few years. On my last visit this February, I knew I wanted to help a puppy take it's freedom flight. I contacted several organizations in advance, with my flight information and eventually connected with Draco. Draco needed a travel companion to get him to his new family in Boston, my final destination.
Due to snow in the Northeast, our original flight was cancelled. This meant a couple extra days in Puerto Rico for us, but also a chance to spend some time with Draco.
So much puppy cuteness going on! And needless to say, he stole everyone's heart that we met on our journey home. It was hard to say goodbye when we met his new parents in Boston but their excitement made it worth it. He was in good hands and would be cared for and loved.
This was one of the easiest ways to help and I will continue to offer to transport every trip I make. To everyone visiting the island, please reach out to these wonderful organizations to see how you can help with a freedom flight.
