Cricket was found by the side of the road in Rincon by Julie Saunders who had the patience to go back and coax her close enough to grab her. She had mange, worms and was covered in diesel fuel. Julie fostered her for months until her confidence grew to the point she could be adopted. I'll let you figure out which one is the Sato, Cricket...

Due to the complexities of flying a pet solo to Halifax, Nova Scotia I ended up flying down to Rincon and brought her home. My concerns about how she would react to snow were eased as she absolutely loves to play in the snow.

A story in CNN lead to her adoption and my exposure to the amazing town of Rincon and all it's inspiring people in the rescue world.
