Pet's Story or Bio
Rosie was found dumped in an alley in Iowa. She could not walk, had nails grown into her paw pads, was heart worm positive, and was covered in urine and feces. After extensive testing, it’s found that she has a lysosomal storage disorder called I-cell disease. This disease hasn’t been found in dogs (besides her), but has been found in humans. It causes abnormalities in her bones and joints, eyes, and even her organs. Dogs with lysosomal storage disorders are only expected to live until 3 or 4, but since we know nothing about I-cell disease in dogs, were hoping that life span prediction is wrong. Rosie loves rides in her stroller, snuggling in bed, and singing along to her favorite songs. She’s a spunky, silly dog who loves life!
