Pet's Story or Bio
Ziggy Bear was adopted from SPCALA Long Beach on November 20, 2008. It was obvious that he had an issue with his eyes (that would eventually lead to him being completely blind), and we soon learned that he would need to wear a diaper at all times due to his incontinence. He also had arthritis which required him to be on multiple medications. However even with his health issues I was still so thankful that HE chose ME. Although he couldn’t see, it did not slow him down. He adapted very quickly and was still able to jump in and out of the car and make his way around nearly any environment. Cuddling, chewing on his babies (stuffed toys) and eating were his favorite things. He also would sing, which impressed everyone :) In December 2018 he started to decline quickly and I had to make the heartbreaking decision of helping him to the rainbow bridge. He was my best friend for ten years and I miss him every day.
