Please include a short paragraph that tells voters something fun or interesting about the cat(s) and other animals in the photo. Which cat is diabetic? Is one or more a DCIN rescue? How long have the animals been a part of your family? Give some interesting information about the animal(s) in the photo that will encourage others to vote for your photo.
Sebastian has lived a life that would not be the envy of most
cats. Without any choice, he has had to start his life over 3 times
and no cat likes change. When he was 10, at around the time of his
diabetes diagnosis, his human "Mom" became pregnant and couldn't
keep him. She brought him to a kill shelter.
He was rescued by a local SPCA in Maryland and very quickly became
the foster cat of Stefani Olsen where he was loved and remained for over 3
years. Things changed in his foster home and with a heavy
heart his foster mom turned to DCIN to ask Venita to make Sebastian "Mr. November" in hopes that someone would adopt this quirky and wonderful 13 year old kitty who was in remission and so loved that he came with a trust fund. I read his bio and saw his pictures that Stefani Olsen lovingly
posted, one of which I'm using here, and my heart-and maybe a nudge from
Alex, my first "sugar baby"-made the decision to make Sebastian part of our family. I had no intention of adopting another diabetic cat so soon after losing Alex but.... I adopted Sebastian Purrbox on Dec. 15, 2013. Sebastian has become such an important part of my family.
He is VERY loved by me and his siblings, Jake and Dylan. He
is still quirky and weird; he wants what he wants. But he is the one who always greets me at the door when I've been out. He is crazy funny, affectionate, and he has the best purr ever. Sebastian is a super duper extra sweet boy (he is on insulin again). But the very best thing about Sebastian is that I know he is happy and when I look in his eyes I know that
he knows that he is finally "home". Unconditionally and
Forever.
