Sara is 16 years old and has been diabetic for 11 years. She is a favourite at our vets for her very sweet and gentle nature. Sara is part Ragdoll. Her mum was purebred and her dad? It is rumoured he was feral but he could have just been the neighbourhood opportunistic tabby Tom. She has been featured in a short article in our newspaper because of her diabetes. When she was dx'd, we were told she would not survive more than 2 years. It was tough for us to treat her FD because in Australia we could not get the right food or insulin. However, we managed and she has defied all predictions about her life expectancy. Needless to say, we love her to the moon and back.
