Cedric became diabetic in April 2011, but with a change in diet and some Lantus insulin, he went "off the juice" in about 30 days. After a bout with pancreatitis in the summer of 2012, he had to go back on insulin in February 2013, first using Lantus, then trying Levemir. He recovered from DKA in July 2013, but passed away on 10/2/13 from acute necrotizing pancreatitis. I adopted him from the SPCA of Central FL in April 2006 at the age of 7 months - he picked me! He was very smart and loved to give "hugs" to his mom by grabbing me around the neck and licking me (grooming me). He used to go to the office with me, but he is shown here in his favorite spot in one of the apartments we lived in here. He welcomed a fur brother into our new home in 2011 to keep him company. He was very special and is greatly missed. <3
