In June 2016, I received a message about a 15 year old diabetic cat on Diabetic Cats in Needs's Facebook page. Keno was an owner surrender who was scheduled to be euthanized the next day. Despite already having 4 cats, one of whom is diabetic, her photo touched my heart and my husband and I adopted her. As it turns out, she was 16 years old and her diabetes was not close to regulated.

Fast forward 17 months. Keno is now 17 years old, regulated on 1 unit of insulin twice a day and she is doing great. She is a total love and has become Daddy's Girl.

Wouldn't she look purrfect as December in the DCIN calendar?
