Cootie (aka Cootie Bug) was 16 years old when she joined our household, but I already knew and loved her dearly. You see, she was rescued as a kitten by my sister and lived with my parents during her adult years. When medical issues forced my parents to move to assisted living/memory care Cootie came to live with me. She was the sweetest, snuggly girl with a tiny voice who loved her special chair for napping. Cootie had multiple health issues beyond the diabetes, but actually went OTJ twice--once with my parents and once with me. Our time living together was only a year and a half before she went to the Rainbow Bridge--how I wish it could have been longer! Cootie will forever hold a special place in my heart.
