Nine year old Stormy came to us in February 2017 from Shepherdsville, KY. After having a stroke, Stormy's owner could no longer keep up with his care. Just before we adopted him, Stormy suffered a terrible bout of pancreatitis that nearly took his life. But he knew he had a new home waiting for him, and pulled through. We drove from Wisconsin to Kentucky and back just to pick him up. When he came into our home, Stormy was thin and weak and scared. He is now big and happy and strong! He is very motivated by food! He is doing well on just 1-1/4 units of insulin every 12 hours, due to a healthy diet. He is a pistol around the house and we couldn't imagine life without him!
