This is Lily. She was diagnosed with feline diabetes a little over 2 years ago. She has been with us since she was about 8 years old. She is now 16 years old. Lily came to us with the plan that she would be staying temporarily, but in the end, this became her "furever" home. Her owners had to move out of their home after their basement flooded and they could not take Lily along with them to the hotel where they were staying while their house was being repaired. When the time came for them to move back into their home, Lily's former mom called me and asked me if I would want to adopt her, because they figured out their dog was allergic to her. He no longer needed his daily allergy medications once Lily was gone. Of course I said I would keep her, as I had already grown quite attached to her! How could you not love Lily? She brings joy to all who meet her.
